Be a volunteer mediator - Mediate disputes between people in conflict. Few things are as rewarding or life changing. We provide professional and ongoing training, staff mentoring, and challenging opportunities for growth; you can make a difference in people's lives.

Be a Peer Court volunteer - Interested in Restorative Justice? Our Restorative Peer Court program has a variety of volunteer options. By day, adult volunteers can help with case development, intake, marketing, RPC club,  assessments, and scheduling. By night, adult volunteers can assist the Restorative Peer Court staff before, during, and after Peer Court is in session.To apply, complete the general volunteer application process and the brief RPC Volunteer Application to let us know your areas of interest.

Students are invited to fill-out an RPC Volunteer Application and join the Restorative Peer Court Club (currently available at Sheldon High School). After learning more about Peer Court and Restorative Justice, students can volunteer as Panelists (jury members) or leadership roles i.e. Convener, Facilitator, Scribe, and Mentor.

Be an office volunteer - Filing, answering phones, case intake, database input. Marketing, development, public speaking, business contacts, computer assistance. Interpreters. Help us raise awareness about our services, and raise funds to support them.

 

Join our Speakers Bureau

 

CDR is in the process of creating a speakers bureau. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED SOON.

 

CDR Speakers Bureau will involve volunteers in public outreach that includes representing CDR at public meetings, facilitating neighborhood presentations and presenting workshops and trainings in conflict resolution. CDR will provide specific training for volunteers involved in public outreach.

We are also looking for volunteers interested in developing materials for presentations about: CDR, mediation and conflict resolution to organizations (potential referral sources, agencies, neighborhood and community groups, churches and possible funding sources).
